Cookie men

A commercial for cookies came on today and Brice said oohhh I'm in the mood for cookies now. I said ok, after dinner ya'll can make some. So Brice and Andrew gathered all the ingredients and did all the prep work and mixing and made some great cookies!

Andrew is 13

We celebrated Andrew's birthday today...he's the last of the kids amongst my dear group of friends to enter the wonderful world of teenagers. We had a nice lunch at Applebees.

Jingle Bell Run

Brice and I, and my friend Rochelle, ran the Jingle Bell 4 Mile Run this morning. Brice finished around 38-39 minutes and I was just over 43minutes.

Brice crashed after the race.

Christmas Party

Tonight was Bill's Christmas party and as par for the course, he wasn't home. I took my best friend, Elizabeth as my date. It wasn't the usual traditional party, but just a cocktail hour since there are so many people gone right now. It was a nice time-actually kind of nice that it was a short evening and to be home early. Here we are before the party-

Brace Face

Brice finally got his braces on last week. He's adapted well and isn't too uncomfortable. He opted for blue and green on them to carry him through the new year(his next appt isn't until Jan).

Here are the 'before braces' pics-

And here are the 'with braces' pics-

We should do a countdown till we get the 'after braces' pictures and he has a gorgeous smile-2 years and counting.

Oh, and as a side note, check out the 'stache the boy has started-you can see it really good in the up close of 'with braces'.

Go Eagles

Bill and I went to the Eagles-Seahawks game today. Last time we tried to go was back in 01 when the Eagles were in town, and they sent Bill on det-and he was almost gone for this one too, but we lucked out. Was a good game, the Seahawks fans weren't too mean to us...lol. Thankfully the weather held out, we had a bit of rain before the game started, but the entire game was dry. Oh, and we finally got to try the world famous garlic fries-which were every bit as good as we'd heard. And of course, Bill was extremely happy as his Eagles won.

Summer Fun

While uploading the videos from last night, I realized I had some pictures from summer I had taken that were still on camera. It was from the end of summer BBQ that the kids had. The pics made me smile-a group of kids ranging in age from probably 8 or 10 to 18 all playing games like Red Rover together, hanging out and enjoying the end of summer food. Besides the Red Rover pictures, below is Brice, Charlotte and Matt-no pictures of Andrew other than him preparing to take down the line on Red Rover...lol.

Kreepy Kooky Concert

Last night was the Kreepy Kooky Concert at the middle school. It was the 6th, 7th and 8th grade choruses, as well as the 7th and 8th grade band. When the 8th grade band finally got to play, they played the theme from the Addams Family, then Bats, Rats and Spiders. Their 3rd song-which is what the video is, was Music For a Darkened Theatre. It was a montage of movie theme songs by composer Dannny Elfman-it includes music from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice and Spiderman, as well as 2 others. Sorry about the camera work, but it was tough to hold it steady-and the band director kept stepping into the shot now and then as he was conducting.
